Trees don't get sunburnt the way we do.

But they can get sunscald.

This one in the Caledon Botanical Gardens is a proper example. When bark is suddenly exposed to harsh sun, the living tissue underneath can be damaged. It might not kill the tree overnight, but it opens the door to decay and other problems down the line.

It's one of those things you only notice when you know what to look for.

Stump grinding isn’t just about making it look clean. It stops regrowth, clears space for replanting, and gets rid of a trip hazard sitting right in the middle of your garden.
